UEFA announces final three nominees for Men’s Coach of the Year Awards

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has unveiled the final three nominees for the prestigious 2022/23 UEFA Men’s Coach of the Year Awards. This announcement was made via their official website.

The trio of contenders comprises Pep Guardiola from Manchester City, Simone Inzaghi from Inter Milan, and Luciano Spalletti from Napoli.

The laureate of this distinguished accolade will be unveiled during the upcoming 2023/24 UEFA Champions League group stage draw ceremony scheduled to take place later this month in Monaco.

The selection of the top three candidates was determined by a panel of jurors comprising coaches from clubs that participated in the group phases of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Europa Conference League, as well as the coaches of national teams representing UEFA member associations.

Pep Guardiola masterminded Manchester City’s attainment of a remarkable third consecutive Premier League title, along with securing an FA Cup victory and their inaugural Champions League trophy.

Luciano Spalletti guided Napoli to an extraordinary achievement—a Serie A title triumph, their first in 33 years, accruing an impressive 90 points.

Simone Inzaghi’s remarkable leadership propelled Inter Milan to the Champions League final, although they were ultimately defeated by Guardiola’s Manchester City. Additionally, Inzaghi secured victories in the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana, solidifying Inter Milan’s standing with a third-place finish on the Serie A table.
