Transfer: Napoli to include anti-Saudi clause in Osimhen’s new contract
Napoli president, Aurelio de Laurentiis, is reportedly planning to include two release clauses in Victor Osimhen’s new contract. The first release clause will be applicable to European clubs, while the second will be for Saudi Arabian clubs, as per information from Sky Sports Italia.
The Serie A club is currently in negotiations with the Nigerian international to renew his contract. The proposed new deal is expected to be for two years, and Osimhen’s representatives are seeking a pay raise commensurate with his importance to the club.
However, there seems to be a disagreement regarding the release clause amount. Osimhen’s representatives are pushing for a €110 million release clause, while Napoli wants to set the minimum release clause at €150 million.
During this summer, Napoli has reportedly turned down two offers from Saudi Arabian club, Al Hilal, for Osimhen.
It remains to be seen how the negotiations will unfold and what final agreement will be reached between Osimhen and Napoli regarding the release clause and other contract terms
