Transfer: Alexis Sanchez’s return to former club confirmed
Alexis Sanchez is on the verge of completing a return to Inter Milan within the coming week.
Prominent football transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano has shared that the Chilean forward has come to terms with his former club, and a medical examination is scheduled for Friday.
Upon the successful completion of the medical tests, Sanchez is expected to formalize a short-term contract with the prestigious Serie A side.
In a tweet, Romano stated: “Alexis Sanchez to Inter, here we go! He’s back on a free transfer after spending one year at OM—an agreement reached and medical booked on Friday. Sanchez will sign a short-term deal in the next few days as he was waiting for Inter. He’s set to replace Joaquín Correa who joins OM.”
Sanchez is currently unattached after the conclusion of his contract with Marseille earlier this summer.
Having previously played for Premier League clubs Arsenal and Manchester United, the 34-year-old is poised to embark on another chapter of his career with Inter Milan.
