Laliga giants Real Madrid are in a bit of a conundrum concerning the injury and fitness situation of England midfielder Jude Bellingham and are currently making frantic efforts to have the resourceful player regain full fitness.
Bellingham injured his shoulder in Los Blancos’ 0-0 draw with Rayo Vallecano in a Laliga game on Sunday, November 5 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
He subsequently missed the club’s 3-0 win against Braga in the UEFA Champions League and the 5-1 win over Valencia in the Spanish top flight.
However, Bellingham has been named in the Three Lions of England squad for their two last Euro 2024 qualifiers this month
against Malta and North Macedonia.
England will trade tackles with Malta on Friday, November 17 at the Wembley Stadium and they play North Macedonia on Monday, November 20 at the Tose Proeski Arena.
Bellingham’s inclusion in the list was reportedly done in the hope of the 20-year-old regaining full fitness before the upcoming international fixtures.
According to Marca.com, Los Blancos expect Bellingham to be withdrawn from the Three Lions squad after providing updates on his shoulder issue.
It is unclear whether Bellingham will play the upcoming qualifying games for the Gareth Southgate-led side.
Real Madrid are looking at the youngster returning to action after the international break for their game against Cadiz on November 26.
The Three Lions have never won the Euros football tournament.
England have already qualified for Euro 2024 as they have 16 points bagged from six games in Group C of the qualifying series.
Bellingham has notched one assist in four Euro 2024 qualifying matches. He has netted 10 goals and two assists in 12 Laliga matches this term.
Real Madrid have amassed 32 points after playing 13 games in Laliga this season and are currently second in the league table.
